Two years ago next month, I started my first cable knitting project: a baby blanket for no one in particular.

I just wanted practice doing cables, and this blanket definitely fit the bill. With a seed stitch border, it knits up squishy and soft in Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Yarn.” It was one of those projects that I kept on the back burner and now that I have a friend who is having a baby girl soon, I had a reason to move it to the front.  I’m so happy to say that last night I finally finished it!

I just searched for the pattern on ravelry so I could share it here, but the link was removed.  There is a similar one here with a narrower border, which I actually prefer.

It feels so good to finish a project like this and I’m excited to pass it along!
