In addition to our everyday chaos, we recently decided to raise chickens for fresh eggs. We just moved to a new house with a couple of acres in October, and I have visions of turning it into a small farm. I’m a wanna-be homesteader.

Our six baby chicks came home with us on Thursday, and we have been spending most of our time since then cuddling and watching them. The boys have started an observation journal so that they can note what they are doing and how they are changing. They have already grown and changed so much in the last five days!

We have Paradise, Miss O, Arrow, Ballerina Chicken, Minerva Louise, and Henrietta.

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of chicken photos in my future.
